Request money questions
Does the person paying need a Payvio account?
No. They can pay a request with a debit or credit card without signing up. If they want to send money themselves later, they can create an account then.
Can I request in a currency other than dollars?
Yes — request in any currency you hold a wallet in. If they pay in a different currency, we convert at the rate shown on the request, the same 0.4% margin as everywhere else.
Is there a fee to send a request?
Creating and sharing a request is free. The person paying may see a small card-processing fee, shown to them before they confirm — you are never charged for requesting.
Can I cancel or edit a request?
You can cancel an unpaid request any time from Activity. Once paid, it is a completed transfer like any other and cannot be reversed from your side.
How long does a request stay open?
30 days by default, or whatever expiry you set when creating it. An expired request can be paid no more — just create a new one.
